DefibFest ’24: Music, Community, and Life-Saving Impact

DefibFest is back!

Join us on 2 November 2024 for an unforgettable evening that will help save lives!

DefibFest ’24 will be held at Slim Jim’s Liquor Store in Islington, London bringing together live music, first aid demonstrations, and a raffle brimming with incredible prizes. Doors open at 4 pm—be there to be part of something truly amazing and impactful.

A Brief History of DefibFest

Founded in 2019 in memory of Malcolm Russell, DefibFest began as a heartfelt initiative to raise awareness and funds for public access defibrillators (PADs) through the unifying power of music. Thanks to your unwavering support and generosity, we’ve raised around £10,000 since our inception and have installed seven defibrillators in communities across the UK. Amazingly, one of these life-saving devices has already helped save someone’s life.

Our collective efforts were honored in 2022 when DefibFest was nominated for a Community Support Award as part of the London Ambulance Service’s London Lifesaver Awards. We were also privileged to present the Community Defibrillation Award at the ceremony at the House of Commons, highlighting the vital role community initiatives play in emergency response.

DefibFest was also featured on the London Live TV channel in this news broadcast (segment starts at approx. 31m). The London Ambulance Service joined us to discuss the importance of defibrillators and shared insights into the training available to the general public. This exposure emphasised the critical need for accessible defibrillation in emergency situations.
